Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, publishing a page, or using linkshields.com ("Linkshields," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create a Linkshields account. You represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to host the links you publish.

3. Your content and your responsibility

You alone are responsible for the links, text, images, and other material you add to your Linkshields page ("Your Content"). You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have permission to publish Your Content.
• Your Content does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, right of publicity, or other right.
• Your Content does not violate any law of your jurisdiction or of the United States.
• If Your Content links to material intended for adults only, you will enable the 18+ gate on your page. If you do not enable it and we detect that one or more of your links points to an adult-content destination, we will enable it for you.

4. Prohibited content

You may not use Linkshields to link to:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content depicting minors. We report such material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn"), deepfakes of real people without consent, or any sexual content featuring a person who has not given express written consent.
• Human trafficking, prostitution, escort services, or sexual services for hire.
• Material that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm, or hatred against a protected class.
• Counterfeit goods, illegal drugs, weapons, malware, phishing sites, or other material whose distribution is illegal in the United States.
• Impersonation of any person or brand without authorization.

5. Adult content

Linkshields permits links to lawful adult content provided the 18+ gate is enabled on the relevant page and the underlying content complies with all applicable law (including age verification of performers under 18 U.S.C. § 2257 in the United States). We may auto-detect known adult destinations and require the gate to remain enabled.

6. Reporting and takedown

Any visitor may report a page using the "Report this page" control at the bottom of every public Linkshields page. Reports go directly to our trust & safety inbox. We review reports promptly and may suspend or remove pages that violate these Terms or applicable law. We honor valid DMCA notices and NCMEC reports.

7. Payments and refunds

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel anytime from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Cancellation of a paid subscription does not, by itself, delete your account or page.

9. Disclaimer

Linkshields is provided "as is." We are a link-hosting service. We do not host, control, or endorse the destinations your links point to. Visiting a linked destination is at the visitor's own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linkshields is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes

We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version on this page. Material changes will be summarized at the top. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
